On Wednesday, we acknowledged the 9/11 tragedies with prayers, flags, tributes, and moments of peace. With gratitude for our first responders, and in memory of too many lives lost, we bowed our heads and wiped our tears again. Tears that will never cease.
My agenda had begun moving on to 9/12 when, driving on 3A, I caught a glimpse of part of the Marshfield Fire Department’s tributes. My breath was lost once more.
The MFD had held its own ceremonies and proudly had displayed a huge flag earlier in the day. One thing is clear, 9/11 never ends for them. It never ends for all of us, either.
On 9/12, again the MFD and all our first responders committed themselves to protect our nation and respond to us in dire moments of need and events, even horrific, unthinkable ones.
To all who risk and save lives every day, in our homes, on our streets, in our hospitals.... this photo is my tribute to you.
Thank you.
